Laboratory Description

The Laboratory of the Food Properties Research Group (INPROAL) is focused on micro/nano-encapsulation of active compounds for food preservation, as well as on promotion and prevention of health through design of foods with functional properties, taking account organoleptic and sensory characteristics of foods. Among the offered services, are additives or ingredients design for food preservation and for functional foods development, also studies of edible films applications for extension of shelf-life of fresh foods. Moreover, technical assistance, training to companies and sensory studies are performed. The lab is oriented to the food industry with focus on fresh, appetizing, healthy and innocuous foods.
